Gap between entry and post comment box

I have seen this question, but only pertaining to a gap between the entry and the comments (which is not the problem with me). I have tried the fixes for that (altering css) but they don't seem to fix this particular problem. In my case there is a gap between the entry and the box where you can enter a comment.

Also, (dunno if this is important but I guess so) I have added extra boxes to my sidebar.

Go here for an example, or look at the image behind the cut.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!!

It was the same problem I had earlier an I just placed this in my layers

.box {
clear:none;
}

and

.entry {
margin-bottom: 55px;
}

and it seemed to work just fine for me. Hopefully it will for you too.

You put it in your layers? Or you put it in your css stylesheet? Coz I've been putting it into my stylesheet (I use an external one) and it just doesn't work. And if I put it in my layer it'll give me an error..

It seems like everyone is able to fix this except me *cries*

Hmm tough one. I don't work with an external style sheet. And its part of the css if I remember right. See if that will work.

I wish I could be more of help but I am still learning S2 myself.

OK one more question =p If you don't use an external style sheet, how do you change your CSS??

Blah good question. I just work under the "user" thing in my list to compile. Its 4am here and I have been up all night. I apologize if I don't make much sense.

I think I will refer you here to better make sense of this. This is where they sent me when I had my problem yesterday:

Please, let me know if you get it fixed.

Me sorries. =0(

Its frustrating when you still don't know what to do.

I thought since your problem was just like mine I would try and help out since I was still up.

I am sure that someone will get to this as soon as they can. They are great here at trying to help as soon as possible.

I am sooo sorry I couldn't be of more assistance to help with your problem. =0(

Have you looked at your journal in Internet explorer? Because in Mozilla the problem is not there...
I lookt in ie and mozilla ff, in ff everything looks normal, the gap is just in ie...strange.

The problem seems to be that your textboxes are spilling out from your main content, causing the layout to break in IE.

Try adding this to your stylesheet:
    .textbox, textarea.textbox {
    width: 90% !important;
 }

Will it also solve this problem :)?

It might.. give it a try. Or you'll have to find the code that edits the textarea (where you input the comments. ie the area I'm typing in right now to type this comment!) and reduce the value to fit inside your layout.

I guess I might call this a solved problem XD. Thanks!

I'm not sure what is wrong. I only see the titlebar of your browser window; I don't see anything of the contents of the window itself :/

That is really strange :/. I made a screencap of the whole thing and posted it on Imageshack... I can see it perfectly well :/. Anyways, the problem was that the comment box seemed to go into the sidebar in a way that made it very difficult to write, because all the text form the sidebar would interfere with it... But I tried the solution you gave to immodica's problem and it seems to have worked *yay*! The comment box is now much smaller and it fits without interfering with anything :). You're a genius :)!

I see it now. Was probably a problem with my connection being slow and not loading the picture properly at first, and the my browser refusing to reload it properly. I just clicked on the link again right now, out of curiosity, and it seems that whatever the problem was has been fixed :D

Anyway, I'm glad that that old code helped ^_^ (I don't even remember writing it, frankly *grin*)

Though if I recall correctly, I can't take all the credit, since I grabbed that code originally from someone else in the comm and am only responsible for spreading it around ;)

Ooh yeah, you might also want to get rid of one of the clear:none; in the .box, in case you ever want to change that value in the future (because if there are two of them, there's a chance that if you only change the first-old-value, the second-old-value will override the new-value and you might be left wondering why :))
