Hi, I was just wondering if this issue is a LJ bug or it's something else:
Everytime I try to look at a journal/entry of somebody else while using my own style (aka the "?style=mine" in url) everything disappears and I can see only my background and nothing else. Help?

This is baffling me. I can't seem to get this issue to resolve and I'm positive I'm missing something obvious but can't seem to see it.

Over at workshop_rees you can see my design I'm working with. I would like the #content to have an overall background of white but no matter what I do the content attribute in the CSS isn't working. I have the maincontent and sidebar as white but I really want the whole journal to be and make these transparent (which I can do).

Where am I having trouble?

Any help is appreciated.

Pfff, I thought I was done, but I've run into another problem:

Is it possible to imitate the style of my sidebar link list in my additional sidebar box, i.e. to add a solid border underneath each link as well as some padding/margins between the links?

Hello, I followed this tutorial for including a dropdown menu instead of a simple tags list in my sidebar. I also began customizing the dropdown menu and the button with bits and pieces of coding I found elsewhere, but I am getting nowhere with the following:

1) How can I customize the header so that it will look the same as the other sidebar headers (which are currently in a lowercase blue italic font)?
2) How can I customize the bar of the dropdown menu, i.e. change the colors of the border, arrows, background, etc., so that it will blend in with the rest of my layout?

Any help would be fantastic and truly appreciated!

So normally for codes for Flexible Squares S2 style I would get my coding here but the person deleted there account does anyone have it saved or know of anywhere else where I can get the codes from I have been lurking around on others entries but it would be easier for me if I just had the codes myself. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great! Thanks!

I'm trying to set a different background colour for author comments only.

Is there a specific class that controls this? (i.e. on Wordpress it's something like .comment list .bypostauthor)

...or if anyone could tell me whether it's even possible to do this through editing the custom stylesheet?

Thank you :)

I have done the following before yet I can't get it to work now. I want my sidebar title to have the same width as the boxes. However when I try to do that I get a scrollbar underneath it. Live preview incheons

Here's a preview of a layout where I did get it to work: http://i.imgur.com/XCIird1.png

I suppose it's the result of LJ's new default layout, though that shouldn't mess with my custom layer and customised comment pages.
Until yesterday, the ugly images for deleting, screening etc. comments had been replaced by my own images; now the default ones are showing again.

This is the code I have in my layer. Does anyone know how to makes this work again?
Thanks a lot in advance. :o)
