Ages ago I created a custom theme for hierarchical tags on my LJ based on this tutorial. Recently I decided to remove a module from my sidebar and, once it was done, the tags were no longer displaying hierarchically. Undoing the change made no difference to this.

After considerable poking around I've worked out how to get vanilla flexible squares with hierarchical tags, or the "Tan and Teal" theme I normally use without hierarchical tags. Documentation on styles suggests I shouldn't ever have been able to have two active themes in a style, but I definitely did. I'm completely stumped over how to go back to having both Tan and Teal and Heirarchical tags. Any help?

Hi.

I am using a custom layout on my journal and on the main page, no grey block can seen but if I click on my entry and view it by itself, there's a grey block that appears where ' Previous | Edit | Tags | Memories | Share | Track | Next " area is. As I have no idea what that line is called, I don't know how to go about solving it. I did look through my code to see where the grey area is but after trying and replacing a lot of color code, the grey area persistently remains. Anyone know how to solve this?

I just tested a new layout and it didn't show at all. I took things out that I suspected of causing this, and it turned out the problem was linking to Google fonts. Not just the @font-face bit though, even the context-free font-family: 'Cookie'; lines had to go. What LJ's new beef with Google fonts? And after I took the @font-face bit out, how did LJ seem to know that Cookie is a web font instead of one that people have on their computers?

Hello! I am using Flexible Squares Pastel Spring with custom CSS layout (here), but there is a problem - the border and the greenish table around the adds above the header don't look very nice. You can look at my journal to see it. Is there a way to remove the border and the table background or make them transparent?

I have a problem with the header and footer. If you look at my journal, you can see there is some spacing above the header and below the footer. I have had the same style for years, the problem only occurred recently. I don't know what is wrong. Is there any way to solve it?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm trying to replace my journal header with a different banner but I'm not sure what I'm doing. A friend originally set up my LJ for me ages ago, I think they were working with custom external stylesheets. I can see the code they used, but there seem to be some things missing just from what I've browsed here at your journal. What I'm trying to do is add this new banner: http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/aprilraven/16525607/142704/142704_600.jpg

I know where to put it in (in the code below) and it shows up, but I'm trying to get it to stretch out just a little more and can't quite figure that part out. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. My LJ is a paid account: http://aprilraven.livejournal.com/ The link for how to post coding here wasn't working, hope it's ok for me to plug it here like this.

.headerimage {
height: 550px;
background-image: url(" http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy217/tf_epic_recs/AR.jpg") !important;
background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
background-attachment: scroll !important;
background-position: center !important;

margin-bottom: 15px;
}

.b-repost-item, FORM#qrform > TABLE[style="border: 1px solid black;"]:last-child TD[style="vertical-align: top; text-align: right;"]:first-child { display: none !important; }

I know the page views can be customized, and that it is possible to have the friends page look different from the recent page, etc.

Is it possible to have separate customized views for each friends filter/group?

I would like to be able to use different backgrounds for each friends filter/group page, so when viewing my friends page,  the personal journals would use one background, header image, title, etc., communities would use another, syndicated feeds another, and possibly another background for custom friend groups. If this is possible what coding would need to be added/changed?

I currently do not have a paid account, but realize that these changes, if possible would most likely require a paid account.

How I can use header and background image same time? I tried but header didn't show up. SOLVED!
Other question: How I can make the "black area" (which include title) under the header smaller? And I wanna that header is closer to the black area. I'm sorry my bad English, my native language is Finnish but I hope that someone understand.

I'm currently using a paid account and I'm using this tutorial, but for some reason my metadata isn't aligning like it should. I've done this once before, but that was with a different layout. I know the answer is staring me right in the face, but I think since I've been messing with this for two days it's time to ask for help.

Here's the image of what my metadata currently looks like, and this is the layout I'm using.
